Ingrid Nelson is the Regional Vice President for Comcast Spotlight California, overseeing sales operations in San Francisco, Sacramento, Fresno and Monterey.  She originally joined the company in 2007 as Vice President and General Manager of the San Francisco operation.  Prior to joining Comcast, she was a Vice President and Senior Consultant for The Center for Sales Strategy, where she provided sales and management consulting to a breadth of media organizations including Comcast, Hearst Television and Cox Media.

Her career in media included positions in business development, marketing and production in the Cleveland television market.  She also spent three years in radio, working for Clear Channel Cleveland as the Business Development Manager for six stations.  While in Cleveland, she spearheaded efforts to produce the city’s annual July 4th fireworks, Holiday Parade, and Millennium event.  Prior to joining the Center for Sales Strategy, she was General Manager of KNAZ-TV (an NBC affiliate in Northern Arizona).

Nelson is a graduate of the prestigious Betsy Magness Leadership Institute at the Center for Creative Leadership and has attended the Comcast-sponsored Executive Leadership program at the Wharton School.   She has been named a WICT (Women in Cable Telecommunications) Mentor of the Year and was named Sales/Marketing Person of the Year by the Cleveland Association of Broadcasters during her time in that market.  She also attended the Leadership Flagstaff program while working in Arizona.  She has served on advisory committees and boards for United Way, the Red Cross, The Ad Council, Futures Against Violence and others.

Nelson lives in San Francisco with her husband, John Schreiner, an artist.  They have three children who live in Seattle, Atlanta and Taiwan with their respective families.

Margret Schmidt is TiVo's Chief Design Officer, and Vice President of Design & Engineering.  She is responsible for the design and development of all domestic and international TiVo products, including DVR and set-top box software, and iOS, Android, and Web apps.  Margret is an invited speaker on design and innovation, including SXSW, CES, The TV of Tomorrow Show, Lead On CA, and U.C. Berkeley.

Margret holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley.  She has a 2006 Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Achievement in Interactive Television, and has been named one of the Most Powerful Women in Cable (Top Women in Technology list) for five years running (2010-2014) by CableFAX Magazine.  She is a 2013 YWCA Silicon Valley Tribute to Women honoree, and one of Silicon Valley Business Journal's Women of Influence 2013.   Margret has been with TiVo since 2001, and holds seven patents.  You can follow her at @tivodesign.

Kim Jackson is the Regional Director of Comcast University. In this role she is responsible for oversight of learning and development for all of Comcast California’s employees.  She is focused on operational excellence, customer service, learning innovation and HR effectiveness across multiple methodologies and disciplines (technical, customer service, sales, and leadership development).   Prior to this role she served as Senior Director of one of Comcast’s California Call Centers.  There she led the Sales and Retention teams who, across the enterprise, outperformed most of Comcast call centers in goal and metric achievement.  She has been employed with Comcast since 2005.

Kim holds a Master’s Degree in Business with an emphasis in Finance from San Jose State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science (Minor in English) from San Diego State University.  She has a strong record of translating business strategy into operating results and a proven ability to collaboratively lead corporate and field based teams.  She is a native of San Jose, California where she resides with her husband, Charles, of 19 years and their three sons: Joshua, Jeremiah, and Jonathan, and their 2 dogs: Alyssa and Blu.  When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and is very active in her church, her community, and her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta. She has been a member of WICT for nearly a decade.

Lillian is a seasoned sales and new business development professional with a documented record of generating revenue in rapid growth business environments. Her career straddles two industries: cable TV and digital media entertainment.  An executive with over 20+ years’ experience both domestically and globally, her proven track record of identifying and monetizing opportunities, along with her ability to negotiate profitable agreements that result in long term revenue streams, sets her apart. 

Currently, Lillian is Senior Director of Affiliate Sales and Marketing for the Pac-12 Networks and responsible for affiliate distribution and marketing.  She is part of the team that helped launch Pac-12 Networks in 2012, and garnered distribution for the network prior to its launch.  Before joining Pac-12 Networks, Lillian founded Casares Digital Media Entertainment, specializing in digital media start-ups and international entertainment companies doing business development, sales, distribution, content acquisition, licensing, strategy development, execution, contract negotiation, strategic partnerships/alliances.  Previous experience includes NTN Buzztime, a digital signage/entertainment/gaming company, offering interactive casual gaming to the Digital Out-of-Home Market, and MediaZone.com, a global sports & entertainment broadband and social networking destination, where she held the position senior director of business development domestic and global. At MediaZone.com and NTN Buzztime, she identified and negotiated national and global entertainment and sports digital content rights for acquisition, distribution, and syndication across multiple digital media and cable platforms internationally and domestic, plus global partnerships, and branded entertainment. 

Lillian has been a member of WICT for over two decades where she continues to offer integral support as a strong proponent of WICT’s mission. Currently serving as president of the WICT Northern California chapter, she was president of the WICT Southern California Chapter in 2002.  Lillian is the proud recipient of several WICT National awards at the WICT Leadership Conference, most notable:

Director of Business Development Comcast Spotlight

Cheryl Cox is the Director of Business Development for Comcast Spotlight, the advertising sales division of Comcast Cable.  In this role, she oversees all Marketing, Research, Digital, Automotive and Cableside Partnerships for the California region.  

Cheryl has 20 plus years of experience in various media leadership roles.  She started her career at JD Powers & Assoc. then transitioned to Agency Buying in LA & NY. Prior to joining Comcast, she was at KBHK, KRON & KTVU in NSM, LSM and GSM positions.  Cheryl holds a BA degree in Psychology and Economics from UCLA. 

She has been a supportive member of WICT since 2006.  A President’s Club winner in 2014 and the inaugural class of Spotlight’s Leadership Exposure and Development program (LEAD).
