Those of you who were able to join us at our recent Tech It Out event got a head start on the topic of professional development, as we enjoyed a presentation from Kym Cadle, Founder and CEO of Pure Ambition, called “Reignite Through Constant Change.” Our discussion focused on using mindfulness as a tool to increase resilience and agility. Thank you to our event sponsor Cooper, White & Cooper.

Our chapter started out this year with our sensational Women Leading Innovation event, where we hosted over 80 attendees at the Comcast Silicon Valley Innovation Center.  The event featured a group of dynamic leading women who shared their success stories, spoke about the importance of mentoring, and provided advice on how to stay innovative through the constant change of the industry.
Thank you to our panelists:

Mimi Hui, Senior Director of Product at Comcast Silicon Valley Innovation Center.
Amy Lynch, Regional Vice President of Technical Operations at Comcast.
Ingrid Nelson, Regional Vice President at Comcast Spotlight for making this a memorable event.

Also thank you to our sponsors: Pac-12 Networks, Game Show Network and Starz for their support.

We are looking for interested parties for the WICT Northern California leadership board!

The WICT Northern California Board is looking for a few new board members to be part of this dynamic leadership group.  We have a few positions available (check our website at:  http://www.norcalwict.org/open-positions).

If you don’t have the time commitment necessary for the Board, not a problem! We are forming volunteer committees:  mentoring, membership, and programming/event committees.  One of the many benefits of being on the Board or Committee is learning, networking with colleagues across Northern California while fine tuning your leadership skills while volunteering.

If you are interested, email us and we will set up a time to talk. We look forward to hearing from you!
